Teen Division
The Teen program is for students 13 years of age or older.
This program includes classical ballet, modern dance, jazz, tap, character, choreography workshops, ballroom dance, and body sculpt! The opportunity to participate in the holidayconcert is by audition. Everyone is welcomed to perform in the spring concert demonstrations.
Classes for the school year begin the first Tuesday after Labor Day and run through the second Saturday in June. Students in this division create their own program of study with the director and instructor’s approval. Additional classes may be added to the DAC schedule for you as the year unfolds with a slight tuition adjustment. Also consider the following short –term classes:
- Choreography Workshop that meets twice per week from January to February on Wednesdays6:30-7:30, Thursdays 5:20-6:20 or Saturdays from 1:30-2:30 for an additional $100 one-time fee.
- Improvisation Class that meets once per week from February to April on Saturdays from 1:30-2:30 for a one time fee of $70.
- Character Class from October through mid- April on Saturdays from 11:40-12:40 for an additional one time fee of $200.
- Body Sculpt Class (bits of yoga, Pilates, ballet stretches) from September through June on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:15-10:15 AM and Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 and Wednesdays from 4:15-5:15PM, plus Saturdays from 9:00-10:00
Dress code:
- Ladies ballet: Black leotard and optional matching 12" skirt, pink non-seamed tights, pink Capezio, Bloch, or Freed ballet slippers, and hair in a bun.
- Ladies modern: plain leotard and footless tights or unitard, bare feet, hair secured out of face and off of neck.
- Ladies jazz:black tights over plain-colored leotard, black jazz oxfords, black character shoes, and hair pulled back.
- Ladies character: leotard, knee-length character skirt, pink tights, black 1" heel character shoes, hair in a bun.
- Gentlemen ballet: white T-shirt or short-sleeved, scoop-neck leotard, black tights, dance belt, and black Capezio, Bloch, or Freed ballet slippers.
- Gentlemen modern: Mirella 310U black unitard, dance belt, bare feet.
- Gentlemen jazz:plain colored T-shirt,jazz pants, black dance belt, and black jazz oxfords.
- Gentlemen character: white T-shirt, black dance belt, black stretch pants, and black character shoes.
Application Fee: $40.00
Single 1 hr class per week tuition Cost: $590.50 for the year, w/4 payment options to choose from:
- Lump sum of $590.50 due September 1
- Two-payment plan of $295.25 due September 1 and January 1
- Four-payment plan of $165.63 due September 1 (includes $18.00 one-time processing fee), and $147.63 November 1, January 1, and March 1
- Eight-payment plan of $109.81 due September 1 (includes $36.00 one-time processing fee), and $73.81 due October 1, November 1, December 1, February 1, March 1, April 1, and May 1
Single 1 1/2 class/wk tuition cost: $833.00 for the year, w/4 payment options to choose from:
- Lump sum of $833.00 due September 1
- Two-payment plan of $416.50 due September 1 and January 1
- Four-payment plan of $226.25 due September 1 (includes $18.00 one-time processing fee), and $208.25 November 1, January 1, and March 1
- Eight-payment plan of $140.13 due September 1 (includes $36.00 one-time processing fee), and $104.13 due October 1, November 1, December 1, February 1, March 1, April 1, and May 1
