Gabrielle Schmid, one of our Dancing Arts Accelerated Level 2 students, was the first place winner in the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) regional competition held in Worcester, MA January 26-28, 2018. Gabrielle competed in the Pre-Competitive Division for age 9 through 11 where she performed the “Bluebird” variation for her classical solo and “Secrets” for her contemporary solo. Mr. Patrick Notaro has been her coach for both pieces and choreographed her contemporary solo. Gabrielle’s score for her “Bluebird” solo earned her the invitation to the NYC finals! She has been working hard every day in the studio in preparation for the finals which will be held April 13-20, 2018. We are so proud of Gabrielle’s accomplishments and wish her the best of luck in the finals. We will keep you posted on the results. Go Gabrielle!
