PATRICK NOTARO, originally from Clinton, MA fell in love with dance as a boy.  His first dance lessons would come a little later in life.  After completing one year at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI he began training at the Boston Conservatory and quickly started working with dance companies including Copley Square Ballet, Boston Ballet, Oakland Ballet and Festival Ballet Providence (RI).  While at Festival Ballet, Patrick performed lead roles in classical and contemporary works under the direction of Prima Ballerina Christine Hennessy from 1983 until 1994.  In 1995, Mr. Notaro co-founded Providence Ballet in downtown Providence, RI.  He split his time teaching in Providence and performing in Indianapolis, IN and was soon invited to join Ballet Internationale, Indianapolis as a full time dancer.  There he had the privilege of working with world-renowned artists including Prima Ballerina Irina Kolpakova and Artistic Director Eldar Aliev, both principal artists with the Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia.  Mr. Notaro also served as co-Vice Principal of the Academy of Ballet Internationale.

In 1999, Patrick moved to Cincinnati, OH to become a full time instructor at the Otto M. Budig Academy of Cincinnati Ballet.  There he was a highly favored teacher to the world-class dancers of Cincinnati Ballet and brought it’s Academy students to regional acclaim, taking top honors in Chicago at the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet Competition in 2005. There he and his partner Gregg Saulnier received the awards for “Best Ensemble” and “Outstanding School” on behalf of the Academy.  In 2009, Mr. Notaro established The Patrick Notaro Dance Project (The PNDP) and in July 2010, premiered his company at The Great Friends Dance Festival in Newport, RI.  More recently, Patrick brought his troupe to Provincetown, MA in August, 2011 as his first stand alone production. He and his dancers received rave reviews and have been invited by the Provincetown Theater to return.

Patrick is pleased to be working in New England sharing his creativity and experiences of past successes.  He is currently co-owner and director of Dancing Arts Center in Holliston, MA.
